Morat Swoboda Motion (MSM) is a young, dynamic company advancing electromobility with innovative drive solutions. The company was founded in 2018. Construction of the Morat Swoboda Motion Sp. z o.o production facility in Nowa Ruda, Poland began in June of the same year. The green light for series production was given in July of 2019 in a production area of 4500 m². The production area has now been doubled by a further 4,500 m² to a total of 9,000 m². MSM currently employs over 80 people.
The uniqueness of MSM, the joint venture between the Franz Morat Group and Swoboda, lies in combining the expertise and industry experience of the two established companies and in bringing their strengths to the growth market of electromobility with focus. Swoboda is an established automotive supplier. Positive relations have enabled MSM to quickly position itself as a supplier and development partner for drive technology in the business area of electromobility. The Franz Morat Group had already gotten a start in the production of components and gearboxes for e-bike motors around 20 years ago and supplied the first generation of electric vehicles with drive shafts.

The core business of MSM is the design, development and production of gear components as well as subsystems and complete drives for all mobile electromotive applications. The product range includes geared drive shafts, planetary gears, spur gears, pinions and technical housing parts that unite the advantages of metal and plastic. MSM drive systems combine decades of experience in gear and drive engineering with expertise in mechatronics, electronics, sensors and actuators.
Research & Development
The high demands placed on components and gearboxes for electromobility bring with them great challenges for the design and development process. These challenges can only be overcome with comprehensive expertise.
